From the Heart
I stand before you now,
Instructed to speak on simpler topics,
Unable to deny a platform
The respect it deserves,
So I speak instead from within,
From deep within my heart,
With all the love my spirit can muster,
in as strong a voice as my body will allow.
From the bottom of my heart,
From the depths of my soul,
A sorrow that would shatter walls,
Cries to be free.
From the bottom of my heart,
From the depths of my soul,
I long to scream from atop the highest mountain,
My desire for all to be free.
From the bottom of my heart,
With all the strength I can muster,
I wish to tear down every wall,
And to burn down every prison.
